- Like a late 80's movie of the week, at 20 years old I packed a suitcase and a guitar, bought an $89 ticket for a 3-day bus ride, and made the move from a mid-sized, mid-western town to the bright-lights, big-city scene. Over the course of the last 9 years, I've met many people who have inspired me, influenced me, and challenged me to trust and nurture my creativity. I went to school to be a writer. I joined a band. But... during those times, I took more pictures than I wrote papers or struck keys. My calling finally revealed itself to me. No matter what the assignment, how long it takes or how demanding, taking pictures never feels like work. And that's exactly the kind of job everyone dreams of having!

AMAZING photos!! I went to HS with Mikki and she looks beautiful! I love the one with her eating the crab. If I end up with half your photo talents I'd consider myself lucky! I just got my first dslr a few months ago and wowee it's fun but overwhelming to learn!
